Meet your Travel Designer: Abby Glaysher, CTC

Welcome, fellow travel enthusiasts! I’m so excited to have you here on my travel blog. My passion for travel began back in high school when my mom signed me up for a soccer “camp” in Italy, led by coaches from UC Berkeley and Duke University. Little did I know, that trip would mark the start of my love for travel, combining two of my favorite things: staying active through soccer and discovering new places and cultures.

That trip ignited my wanderlust, and I pursued a degree in Recreation and Tourism at Winona State University. While studying, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a semester abroad in New Zealand and Australia. These experiences deepened my love for travel and taught me the value of immersing myself in new cultures, sampling local food, and connecting with people from all walks of life.

After graduating, I started my career in 2018 with Cary Travel Express, a highly respected travel agency in Illinois, that which was right down the street from where I grew up. I am fortunate to work alongside an experienced team of women who had seen it all—from 9/11 to the COVID pandemic—and their insights shaped my understanding of the travel industry.

In 2021, life called me to a new adventure. I left Illinois for Montrose, Colorado, where I began a new chapter as a Recreation Leader for the Montrose Recreation District. Now, as the Youth Programs Coordinator, I have the privilege of working with the next generation of kids, helping them grow through sports-focused programs.

While my career has evolved, my passion for travel has remained steadfast. I’m still deeply connected to the world of tourism and continue to help people plan their dream vacations. Based in Montrose, Colorado, I serve clients all across the USA, and I’m thrilled to continue making travel dreams come true.
